This is how we begin our day:
First we open our window grates of our atelier in a 70-year-old apartment, in the Historic Peninsula of Istanbul. We water our flowers and drink our Turkish coffee. We’ve been friends for over 30 years, still there’s always something new to chat about everyday.
We design, we draw; we build new models, statuettes from wax; we level metal, oxide it; string beads… We get our hands dirty.
We work with certain ateliers. They’re all our friends. Craftspeople, experienced masters of their work, trained from apprenticeship… Legends in their own rights in the Grand Bazaar, they keep the old arts alive.
Much effort goes into these products. They are each fruits of a laborious and delightful process. They are like children to us.
We hope you too appreciate their value and come to love them as we do.
